Paul Bannicks The Owl and the Wookpecker

Today on my Facebook page NPR had a headline story at the Picture Show on Nature Photographer Paul Bannick's beautiful new book. Touted as an "environmental Purist" he takes intimate pictures with these amazing creatures.The book is full of his Photos as well as his stories in getting up close and personal with these animals. He is definitely passionate about not only the appreciation of these critters but also their survival and is a treasure for all animal lovers! Chito and Pocho his Crocodile Buddy

These incredible Pictures are of Chito and his Crocodile friend affectionately named Pocho. Chito rescued this Crocodile  20 years ago after finding the Croc with a  gun shot wound to his eye. Read the incredible story at the Sun's website "Bloke's best mate is a crocodile."
